"Origin is a platform that's been around for over ten years. Given its age, it unfortunately has performance and reliability limitations, and we've heard our players' feedback about those issues. UPDATE: Hi all, Since Origin for Windows is no longer available or is being supported, I'm going to close this thread to stop it from being necro'd.
Then go in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin -delete this Origin folder Now you have to go to your recycle bin and clean so there will no longer Origin exist as a file. Now delete temp files.

For getting through the help site to contact live chat, please follow these steps: 1. For the product, please select EA app. 2. For the topic, please select " I need help logging in to my EA Account".
I've been having the same issue since June 2018. I wanted to re-install Origin because it kept updating and repeating that. When i double-clicked on OriginThinSetup.exe the program showed in Task Manager but closed after 2 seconds. I tried literally everything i found on forums but nothing worked.
Go to "C:\ProgramData" and delete the the "Origin" folder. If you prefer, you can also rename it, or move it to a different location, to create a backup. Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin" and delete the "OriginThinSetupInternal.exe" file. You can also create a backup of this file, the same way you did in the previous step, if you wish.
Unfortunately it seems that my games files are still located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin. After some more investigating I learnt that EA App is located in C:\Program Files\EA Games which to me doesn't make any sense and there is nothing at all inside the EA Games folder where I you'd expect your game to be ...
