Feb 20, 2024. #3. 64GB Air 5 vs 128GB Pro 11. I’d go for the 128GB Pro. Personally, I’m finding 64GB quite cramped nowadays even without any music/videos/photo library downloaded. I’ve had to offload/delete apps on 64GB devices just so I can install OTA updates.
Overall, the iPad Air is the better option for the majority of users, simply on the basis of value for money. For most people, the additional $400+ needed to buy the iPad Pro is not justified to get the likes of Face ID, four-speaker audio, and a ProMotion OLED display with refresh rates up to 120Hz.
The iPad Air is much more affordable than the iPad Pro if you can work with 64GB storage, but that may not be enough for some people. $799 for the 128GB iPad Pro vs. $749 for the 256GB iPad Air is a smaller price differential and something to keep in mind if 64GB storage isn't enough. If you are comparing secondary market vs new, it’s not a fair comparison, one is used. If a $300 difference is what you consider “almost”, get the M4.
The Pro doesn't have any extra features in terms of note taking. Both are even compatible with the Magic Keyboard if you wanted to go that route. The former iPad Air and current iPad Air 11" are both actually 10.9". That was just a name change Similarly the iPad Pro 13" is actually 13". The former iPad Pro 12.9" and current iPad Air 13" are both 12.9" But this is all negligible. Honestly I don't know why they do that. J.

Oct 28, 2022. #22. Best Buy has the 11" M1 Pro for $699 (128g) or $799 (256g, only $50 more than the 256g M1 Air iPad!) with extended holiday return period (Jan 14, 2023). That's an INSANELY good deal, and you probably won't even get the refurb from Apple for that cheap.
Whereas the new M2 Air is now described as being 11". But it has in vey small text a side notation in apple's comparison table for different iPad current models, where it says: " Measured diagonally as a rectangle, the 11‑inch iPad Air is 10.86 inches. Actual viewable area is less.
