The texture pack is named "Steven's Traditional 64x64 [1.14]". I tested a bit, and I did get a 32x32 version of Faithful to work without crashing, although it lags slightly every now and then. So it's definitely not an issue with corruption in the files or anything.
You just want a texture pack that looks simple. There are many other texture packs with a higher resolution that fulfill this aesthetic better than can be done in 1x1 resolution. You want to be able to see through glass; I made this texture pack because I like to collect faithful texture packs of all resolutions.
In 2010 I started the Faithful texture pack as a labour of love. With help from the community I worked on it for many years. Towards the end, my personal situation halted development, and in 2016 I logged out for the last time; Withdrawing from the community. The longer I stayed away the harder it was to return.
I've installed the Faithful 32x texture pack, and for some reason, the textures of items in my hand are broken, with ugly gaps all over, and overall, it's just broken. Everything else works fine, but it's just the items in hand.

This texture pack aims to double the standard resolution, for the best experience you need to download the faithful 32x32 pack pack too. Some textures are taken, resized and adjusted from Bulbagarden's Dream World Items Archives: the result is that they look cool in the inventory but not as good if held in hand.

However, when you go up the resolution scale (16x, 32x, 64x, etc), you will need better hardware. The original Faithful and all texture packs are exactly like this too. Also, if you say your friends are playing on the same device with the same pack, you just proved that the problem is the device, not the texture pack.
