Riot Games, Inc. is an American video game developer, publisher, and esports tournament organizer based in Los Angeles, California. It was founded in September 2006 by Brandon Beck and Marc Merrill to develop League of Legends and went on to develop several spin-off games and the unrelated first-person shooter game Valorant.
Valorant is a free-to-play first-person tactical hero shooter developed and published by Riot Games, for Windows. [3] Teased under the codename Project A in October 2019, the game began a closed beta period with limited access on April 7, 2020, followed by a release on June 2, 2020. The development of the game started in 2014.
Won went on to achieve two more tournament victories with Sentinels, winning the JBL Quantum Cup in December 2020 and the Valorant Champions Tour North America Challengers One in February 2021. Following sexual assault allegations against Won in March 2021, he was suspended by Riot Games while they conducted their investigation into the matter.
Riot Games can also ban CS-GO and Valorant accounts caught engaging in MMR boosting, with the punishment varying with the severity of the offense. Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts , on the other hand, also expressly prohibit boosting/account sharing in Apex Legend, citing it goes against the games' Fair Play rules and TOS.
