Neighbours is a long-running Australian television soap opera first broadcast on the Seven Network on 18 March 1985. It was created by TV executive Reg Watson, who proposed the idea of making a show that focused on realistic stories and portrayed adults and teenagers who talk openly and solve their problems together.

Amy Greenwood, played by Jacinta Stapleton, made her first screen appearance on 10 July 1997. Stapleton had previously guested in a few television dramas, before being cast in the regular role of Amy. [11] She called Neighbours "the best training ground" for herself. [12] Amy was "fun-loving", "mischievous" and "sneaky". [13]
Susan Bower. Garland Cole, played by Jack Finsterer, [2] made his first on-screen appearance on 28 January 2011. Garland is an ex-con who is also involved in illegal street racing. [3] Garland is Finsterer's second role with Neighbours. He previously appeared as Russell Sykes in 1992. [3]
Abigail Tanaka, played by Nikita Kato, is the daughter of Leo Tanaka ( Tim Kano) and Britney Barnes ( Montana Cox ). Her first on-screen appearance is made on 10 August 2021. The character was previously played by infant actresses Mary Finn, Axelle Austin and Juliet Basaraba.
July saw the arrivals of Bronwyn Davies, played by Rachel Friend, her sister Sharon Davies, played by Jessica Muschamp, and Mark Stevens as Nick Page. Mark Little began playing Joe Mangel, son of the established Nell Mangel from August. Irene Inescort arrived as Bronwyn and Sharon's aunt, Edith Chubb in the same month.
