The original building was designed by the firm of Bethune, Bethune & Fuchs and built between 1902 and 1911. Additions from 1916–1917 and 1924–1926 were completed by Esenwein and Johnson. The 12 story, steel frame and concrete hotel was designed by prominent Buffalo architects Esenwein and Johnson and considered a skyscraper when it was built between 1923 and 1925. It is located 1/4 mile from the Horseshoe Falls, it is one block from the Seneca Niagara Casino. It has nearly 200 guest rooms as well as convention facilities.
