On Spotify, you can open your account on as many devices as you want, and download content on up to 5 of them, but it's not possible to play different songs at the same time using the same account. This means that if you have your account open on 2 different devices at the same time, you'll need to choose just one of them to play your music.
You can't stream on two devices. If you are using both the same account, I recommend your dad makes an own account, after that follow the steps: - Spotify.com; - Click right above on your username; - Go to account; - Click on family sharing; - Invite your dad or other family members via e-mail.
Once all family members have their own accounts, you can then invite each member to your Premium for Family plan by following these steps: Go to your account page. Click Premium for Family in the menu on the left. Click SEND INVITE. Enter the email address of the person you want to invite and click SEND INVITE.
First time it allowed me to login. But again when I try to login it says check your phone number. I observed that it is only allowing numbers starting with 91xxxxxxxx. There must be some bug where you with phone number input as it will only take 10 digits but should start with country code, which is impossible.
To reiterate, this is the specific problem I'm seeing: 1) Download to my iPhone a playlist with a large number (but still below the per device limit) of songs from the Spotify catalog. In my case, just under 3,000 songs. This works fine. 2) Download to my iPhone a playlist with a large number of songs from my Local Files.

Hi there @Cvore2004, The idea behind not being able to play music simultaneously on several devices with one account is to enable users to keep their individual listening history and habits intact. This way you'll only get recommendations that fit your personal taste.
If it’s been a while, you can generate a new code by re-entering your phone number. Please make sure that you’re entering the correct phone number. If that doesn’t work, I’d recommend checking out this page for next steps. Let me know how this goes! Billy-J Spotify Star.
Unfortunately, you can only play on one device at a time, per account. This means that your wife must create her own account if she'd like to listen to music on Spotify at the same time as you. Hope this helps 🙂. Maxim Spotify Star. Help others find this answer and click "Accept as Solution".
