Where can I download The Finder? I need to restore my iphone due to wrong passcode. I tried to restore through Itunes and it keeps giving me an error message.

The easiest way of dealing with it is to open terminal and type "killall Dock" (although it is not a full solution, as the issue re-appears) . This then recovers the Dock for a time. Alternatively, right click the dock icon and "open new finder window" or whatever the app equivalent is. [Edited by Moderator]

I dusted off my Mac Mini (2018) and updated it to Monterey 12.6, but Finder keeps crashing in many circumstances like when trying to download a file, open a file located on an external hard drive, and if I choose to Relaunch it, it just shuts off and doesn't reopen; just blinks briefly as if it was active and then just shuts down. Finder is exclusively on Mac computers, not iPads or iPhones. iTunes used to be an app on Mac computers but is currently only on Windows PCs. It cannot be installed on an iPad or iPhone. Under Mac OS Big Sur, Finder always opens a new window when switching from another App, instead of returning to any of the Finder windows currently open in the background. How can I prevent this, and return to its previous behaviour?
