That's still limits the picture on the desktop to the size of your desktop icons. The OP wanted a picture on the desktop larger than icon size. The portable app, I mentioned in my previous post, is called DesktopPic and provides that feature in two ways (picture displayed by app or picture stamped to wallpaper).
