A week or so ago, on the first day that got almost hot outside in the afternoon, upon driving home from work (after three miles or so, so the car had warmed up) it started surging/jerking upon mild acceleration. Releasing the gas pedal stopped it, but reaccelerating usually caused it to recurr.

The interval was based on when the car was assembled, not when it was sold. The two year interval and four year free maintenance left them on the hook for two free brake fluid changes.
BMW recommends lower pressures for ride quality and to maintain adhesion to the pavement when hitting pavement discontinuities. 399 posts · Joined 2013. #10 · Feb 11, 2018. I went with non-RFT tires, for the softer side walls, and for decreased unsprung weight, which improves the ride. Regarding pressures, 28 psi all around is under inflated--you need 32 to 34 psi front and 36 to 39 psi back, to comply with placards and the owner's manual.
