In the epic games launcher, Go to settings, click Throttle Downloads set it to a big number like 100,000. I was getting 0.4 -1 MB's before doing that. Bumped up to 10 MB's after. Thats the only thing I changed. Play around with the number. 200,000 actually gave me worse speed. I know it shouldn't work.

I've tried searching for solutions but none really work. I guess it could be the fact that my computer is like 2-3 years out of date, but everything ...
Exit the launcher. Go to the install location and put an _ in front of the affected game's folder name. Open the launcher and "reinstall" the game in the same location, after downloading a couple MB, cancel the install. Replace the '.egstore' folder in the old folder with the new one. Delete the new folder. Click resume in the launcher and enjoy!
Reply. RyanDesigns9. • 3 yr. ago. It’s because of the way the epic launcher downloads games. In order to ensure it goes fast and doesn’t stop / slow down you need to have enough space as if the full game was downloading (80+ gb). Once you do the message will go away and things will download at normal speed. 2.
Fortnite taking forever to download on PS5? I started the download an hour ago and it took a while for it to calculate so I put the PS5 in rest mode. I came back and it says 11 hours. It must be a bug no? I try restarting the download and again it says 46 hours! Is this a problem with the Epic Games server, my internet speed, or the Playstation?!
What happens when the PS4 is “copying update” is that it basically has to make a brand new copy of this 20GB file and apply the patches during the copy. After it has performed the patch to the file it then moves it back in place overwriting the original file with the new updated file. For large games with many files changed in patches this ...
