Capes.me A Minecraft Cape account ranked list. One thing that bugs me is that many of these websites offer NO removal of your data or only let you "hide" it but still have it cached. Mojang needs to hide all this or just make it all opt in or opt out on the Java API.

Sadly you can't get a cape (at least on Java) at the moment. They're exclusive to events or you had to get lucky, win a competition, or translate/do volunteer work for Mojang. If you're playing Bedrock edition however, you can get a free Pancape by simply opening the Character Creator which everyone receives who buys/owns Bedrock.
Hello guys, I would like to know if there is a way to use my Pan Cape from Minecraft Bedrock on Java. And if, I can get the Migrator's cape (I first bought minecraft bedrock back in 2021, but now I installed Java for free, my account is a Microsoft account.) Thanks!
Here are the steps: Download the cape you want Testing Example. Copy the cape in files. Go to .minecraft folder. Go to assets folder. Go to skins folder. Search and go to 17 folder. Go through the files in the 17 folder and fine the one with the migrator cape (image of what the cape texture looks like at bottom)
We will begin rolling out the vanilla cape to eligible players on Wednesday, August 31st. However, it may take up to a month for the cape to appear in your account. The cape was only given to players who paid for both java and bedrock and didnt receive one for free for purchasing the other.
If you vote through the launcher, you get it in Java. If you vote in-game, you get it on Bedrock. I got it on both because I voted both ways, and that's the only way you can get it on both platforms. According to the wiki and most people, the Cape gets handed to both versions of the account regardless of where you voted.

The vanilla cape will be given if you owned both Java and Bedrock Edition on PC on a single account before June 6, 2022 (whether by purchase or by code redemption).
nameMC’s count isn’t accurate, they don’t show that I have it even though I do. Same for vanilla cape. Probably because they don’t have access to the api anymore. Might just be people self-reporting that they have it. Edit: you have to equip the cape once for it to count on nameMC. Shows I have vanilla and cherry after putting them on.
