Type in Windows search "env" and press on "Edit environment variables for your account". Now if there's no "Path" named variable, create it. On the "Variable name" type "Path" and in the "Variable value" enter a path of your java.exe file. Then click ok, again ok and then try to open your program again. I hope this works.

Never used jarfix but my guess is all it does is fix the file association , which you can do manually by doing the above and ticking the box to always open with this app. The above method does/should work. Saves having to download another piece of s/w to do it. edit: if it is opening a cmd window are you picking java.exe ?
