"The iconic Toys "R" Us logo was created, featuring a backwards "R", in order to give the impression that a child wrote it." So there is a reference you can use for that at least, if that counts at all. Lastly, the 1986 to 2006 Toys R Us logo seems to be bizarrely big right now, and has been since June this year.
