Select any mod pack from the mod packs section of the CorseForge application and log in to the game. I have done every fix I could find and updated every program I could think of. We have confirmed their minecraft launches without curseforge. All mods and files are the same between all of us so there is no outdated mods or differences. We keep getting exit code 1 on their minecreaft launcher through forge.
Step 1 - In your Curseforge Modpack, press the 3 dots on each other, and press " Open Folder ". Step 2 - In your Modpack, open the folder aptly named " logs ". [ Optional ] - Have either WinRar or 7-zip downloaded (makes life easier). Step 3 - Open the .log.gz file thats named: YYYY-MM-DD-1.log.gz that is the most recently modified.
All you need to do is go to Forge 1.18.2 and press + Show all Version, scroll down and install 40.0.24. After that, install (dont press download, press Mirror which is next to the download button) the 1.18.2 Optifine HD U H7 file and extract that into your mod folder. (ALWAYS INSTALL FORGE FIRST BEFORE OPTIFINE).
Using Curseforge I tried to launch my modded game, but after it loads for a couple of seconds it crashes saying Exit code: 1. I have tried updating drivers and changing the Java Executable Path, but still crashed. This is the crash log.
When I tried running mc with a modpack it crashed with exit code 1. I'm unable to figure out the issue. The crash log was the same for two separate modpacks as I had the same issue and tried with both of them.
Try another Launcher like MultiMC or AT Launcher. Or backup and delete the .minecraft folder. Then start 1.20.1 and close the game in main menu
