Either way, check or online, get a 10 day payoff and issue that amount. That gives you small padding to ensure your payment exceeds payoff once processed. Remember- if your payment is even a dollar short your account will remain open and accruing interest. Banks aren’t forgiving on that. Better to cough up a little overpay than under pay and get surprised when the next bill arrives. 2 ...
I recently sent a 15k cashiers check in the mail (overnight with tracking and signature required) for a payoff in my GM fincancial loan. I included the payoff quote and the account number on the check. It’s been about 3 business days since they received the check (signature verified) but still no credit to the account.
Request a payoff. It will include additional interest and be good for a period of a couple weeks. You’ll wind up overpaying but you will get a refund for the difference eventually. If you just pay the balance shown online you’ll probably be short a few bucks and will just extend the timeline before you get your title even longer. Reply reply.
No penalty. Unless it’s a new thing. I bought a new 2018 Silverado and got 1k for financing with GM for 72 months at 6.49%. The next day I refinanced the loan to 60 months at 3.29%. Even told the dealership I was going to do that, they didn’t care. Reply reply
Is GM Financial going to pull the same BS with me, or will they give a non-GM dealer a real 10-day payoff quote without fussing about it and trying to push me back to a GM dealer?
Completed the authorization forms, made multiple phone calls to GM Financial, etc. Got a verbal dealer lease payoff amount on the phone with Vroom and GM Financial together, however Vroom requires a written dealer lease payoff. For the past 2 weeks I have called GM Financial daily, asking for updates on the fax.
GM Financial lease: Dealer pulled lease payoff by VIN several thousand less than lease payoff in app? Trying to figure out why drastic difference in lease payoff amount. My lease payoff/buyout I can pull through my GM financial app says I owe roughly 68k, where as when the dealer pulled payoff using the vin and through their system of 64k.
The guy says it won’t be a problem they can verify the payoff via an automated system. On Friday night I get a call from Carvana (couldn’t answer, went to voicemail) saying I need to provide a 10-day payoff.
GM Financial, change in pay plan is going to result in me being 2 days late on my lease payment. : r/personalfinance r/personalfinance r/personalfinance
The rep said it's usually a 7-10 business day turnaround time. UPDATE 2: After a kajiliion calls with Carvana and GM, at least in my case it's boiling down to proof of whatever GM blatantly sat on the payoff quote request.
