Hey, some time passed, I built another modpack thats almost working properly. The game works perfectly, the mods work fine, the only problem is the performance issue I am having. Funny thing is i have no performance issues on other large modpacks like ATM 9, but this. (120+ fps while using complementary shaders) The game crashes after some time.
If it is a Forge mod (and the .zip file is the mod), you can put the .zip file in the mods folder. A .jar file is just a .zip file with a different name (rename a .jar to .zip and see what happens).

you should aslo take into account that their are a few different ways to install mods. such as modloader and timber. both of these mods are installed directly into the minecraft.jar however mods like mo creatures (Drzhark) Tomes mod (PinkEmma) and my mods go into the .minecraft/mods folder. this can often make the difference from a black screen ...

It looks like you do have Forge installed right, but try version 953, because most mods use it. Some mods have special instructions, but most of them are pretty easy. Try installing a simple mod first.
