Phone number isn't something Etsy asks for. It only asks for an address. or can I send the request without the phone number? That completely depends on what your shipping carrier requires, but a phone number isn't required to deliver a parcel to an address.
Unfortunately, when there are no telephone or livechat customer service options available, and no response via email except canned non answers, customers will air their grievances on social media. Handling these problems by eliminating all customer service options except for facebook, twitters, etc is only going to make this worse for Etsy.
I have the Etsy seller app on my phone but I am thinking about adding an extra level of customer service. This would probably only work as incoming to me (I have unlimited text plan) though eBay does provide a customer phone number, I don't see Etsy does.
Etsy is by far the worst when it comes to customer service. No number to call. Its hit or miss if they respond, and when they do they give you a copy paste response and just direct you to read something, without even answering your questions. When you tell them youve already read it, and are seeking a human solution to the problem they ghost you.
