The first time the phrase “I’m your Huckleberry” was associated to Doc Holliday was in the book ‘Tombstone’, published in 1929. There is no historical context for the term “Huckle Bearer” before the movie came out in 1993. Huckle is an old term for hips or haunches.

Weaponwise, I second the Lucky revolver, but Doc Holliday was only ever reported using a shotgun once, at the O.K. Corral gunfight, because Virgil Earp traded the shotgun for Holliday's cane in order to present a less threatening figure as he tried to negotiate a peaceful stand-down. I would add Chance's knife or Blood-Nap instead.
