Most of the movies are classic (from the 1970s through 1930s). I believe the app is only provided by ROKU. Many of the movies on this app will save you from renting on other popular streaming services. Yes, several Disney movies are available to watch for free. Other academy award winning classic movies as well.
Movieland.tv has disappeared before and then come back. I have a couple saved searches in the Movieland.tv channel/app that are still playing. (Even though the channel/app home page is blank/empty of library content). Could be the channel/app is undergoing some development changes.
A few months ago, MovielandTV was disabled on Roku, and about a month later, the vast majority of the content reappeared in a new app, Cinema Box. Life was good for a while longer. Last week, MovielandTV reappeared with the original content it had presented, and the same movies were no longer on Cinema Box. That status lasted until this morning.
Re: Movieland TV App Watch List missing. If you click the * on the Roku app there is an option to ‘Add to Save List’. You also get this option when you click on the movie. Not sure why you don’t see this and not sure where you find the list when done. 0 Kudos.

Movieland channel has been removed and I for one and heartsick and very upset, the movies on that channel should be available, I think it's ridiculous and greedy to keep movies that old from the general public. Shame on Roku and on anyone else that thinks that channel should have been removed, if the copyright wasn't available ...
Whenever you try to reinstall a channel/app on the Roku platform, make sure you follow the full Remove/Restart/Reinstall procedure so as to clear out any corruption/cache. Roku has deals in place with multiple studios to run their films and TV programs that is tied in with ad-generated revenue. Movieland TV was ad-free. Did not have copyright permission from Warner Bros, Disney, Sony or any other company to air their films. Public Domain films as of 2023 are all films produced in 1928 and prior.
It was removed awhile ago due to rampant copyright violations. They were airing movies they did NOT have the rights to. In the last week tvland has disappeared from both my roku stick menus. My sister has a roku TV and the icon is there, but it doesn't work either. Says to check her internet connection, but all the other channels function.

Movieland.Tv, most movies look horrible and have very low resolution. Resolution on almost all the films seems to be below broadcast low def, Once Upon a Time in the West looks 720 or 1080 resolution, which I am totally happy with. But, most other movies on the Movieland.Tv channel play below the picture quality of over the air low.
