After almost two years and finishing out my associates degree, I’ve had a few bad experiences with SNHU. I’ve had a couple classes where I’ve felt like the instructors aren’t exactly experts in the material. They hardly teach anything, in fact. The core of the learning and work done is through online homework portals.

AMU is not a diploma mill. A diploma mill is a school where you can pay $1,000 and they mail you a diploma without doing any work.

Thoughts on American Military University. I'm looking to get my Master's in Cyber Secuirty. It is "accepted" in the civilian world in the sense that you will check a box, as others have said. Personally, I'd explore the numerous state schools that offer reduced tuition rates for military members. For example, the University of Florida's undergrad tuition rate for residents is around $129/credit hour. Reply. davidj1987 • 3 yr. ago.

STAY AWAY FROM DEVRY, AMERICAN MILITARY UNIVERSITY, UOP, ETC ETC. If you can, go to a community College to build a strong foundational GPA, and then apply as a transfer student. Harvard, Princeton, Yale are looking for veterans to apply so they can reap that GI Bill money. Penn State, Rutgers, Pitt, UGA etc etc. Go to a REAL university.
