I've heard that there are many sites that are mirror sites of 9anime. They baically use 9anime's platform to bait users into getting malware. Is there a list of sites which are legit because I've been using 9anime.to and it seems safe. If anyone knows please tell me or link it that would be helpful.

Check 9anime.to. VirusTotal can flag malicious ads and some providers detect piracy sites which is why it tripped. As long as you're running an adblocker you're just fine. Been using the site for well over a year and a half now and neither Malwarebytes nor Defender have found any threats.
Currently 9Anime is safe to use, especially with uBlock Plus being active. (Although I would recommend dropping normal adblock, it's not needed when the other blockers have the same and better blocking abilities & lists). 9anime/AniWave is pretty safe. I use uBlock Origin to get around the ads and I've never had a moment's trouble. watching pirated streams cant get you arrested, i believe, could be wrong. i dont use a vpn and im fine, but definitely use adblockers n firefox. just dont download it or whatever w/o vpn n ur fine.
