SimpleGreenScreen has a single slider (I wanted it to be easy enough for a six-year-old to use), and works with green or blue backgrounds. SimpleChromaKey works with any color background (it requires the key color to be selected as background before running), and has three sliders: two for color tolerance, and one for shadow correction.

When I open up the image that I want 2 use 4 my background the image fills the (working) window. Then, as instructed, I go in2 "Layer" & import the pic w/the green screen background. But when I then go 2 "Effects" & choose/use ChromaKey (again, as instructed) the background pic is now onl...
I'm loving Paint.NET so far, but there's something I inexplicably can't figure out... Back in the old MS Paint, you could pick a background colour to be transparent and turn off the Draw Opaque option. Is there something similar in Paint.NET? A probably-related question: how do I set the transpar...

That means that the color difference value between R&B and G for Neon Green is around 51%, versus 41% for Sparkling Apple. In fact, Behr S-G-440 ("Green Acres") gives 48% color difference, so it may be a better choice if you're buying Behr paint. But I think Benjamin Moore's Neon Green and Traffic Light Green are the best bet.
One thing you need to make sure of is that your paint is absolutely FLAT. Not semi-gloss - or (shudder) gloss in any way shape or form. Bright spots where the key wall reflects the incident light in ANY way are almost guaranteed to give you problems in keying.
While the program does a good job of keying out the green, I find that unless your format and size between the layer are the same this is something of a pain. Perhaps I'm simply not familiar enough with the program to understand. I can't simply drag the size so my subject on the green screen fits properly into prespective on the background scene.
Hi everyone, I rewrote the @DataDink's "Color Cut" plugin to make it compatible with Paint.net v4.3.10 and (hopefully) later. License: MIT Description: On 12/21/2015 at 8:34 AM, DataDink said: This is similar to other "green screen" plugins, but it uses the secondary color and allows you to confi...
