I used to play on PC, but for some reason, it says all my progress is on a ps4 that I never owned, but that's besides the point. I have my account linked on my switch but when i start up the game it says it cannot connect to epic games. When I go the activate website and try to link it from there the page just redirects me to itself.

If you wanted any of the newer Ubisoft games, they're sold at a HIGH discount during the Epic Mega Sale of the Epic Games Store. I really didn't want to buy from the sale because I generally dislike the launcher. But now that I know I won't have to use the launcher itself (for Ubisoft games), I bought a ton of Ubisoft games I wanted.
