    Java is the original version that's just for PC. Bedrock is the old mobile version that was ported to console and PC. Java is objectively better if you have a PC. Bugs, a lot of bugs which is very disappointing. There are many differences, some major and some minor depending on your point of view.

    One thing that is barely mentioned is performance. Java Edition needs more resources and is less able to use them. Bedrock is more lightweight and can actually take advantage of multiple cores. If you aren't going to take advantage of Java (moddability), then it doesn't make a lot of sense to use it.
