The subscribe and save page only shows the original subscribe and save price, but once the item ships, the amount charged is the additional $1 off. There is a setting to "Align your deliveries" so that your monthly orders arrive on your weekly order delivery day. It's fine if you pick Amazon.com as the seller- just don't pick some no name individual seller. This is not true, unfortunately. Amazon commingles inventory meaning that all items with the same barcode go in the same bin. You may not be getting a legitimate item even if you choose Amazon as the seller.

Not every request. eg last night two orders went through and one was declined.

Yes!! It seems like a tactic. I get a few deliveries of a new subscribed item, then suddenly it's "unavailable and they're working on it". Only something branded or slightly different, and for a higher price, is available right now. I let them nudge me towards their Amazon Basic brands where it made sense.

After that, they will come each month unless you change your subscriptions. The prices don’t matter. All 5 will be discounted, if they are subscribe-and-save items. If you get fewer items, the discount is less.
No , it does not. With onsite coupons, 5% back with the Amazon credit card and the extra 5-15% off for 6+ subscribe and save items. You can get great deals. But I have seen things double in price from one month to the next. Always check the prices before the shipping date.
