Sherwood Park Mall is a shopping mall located in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada. It has 97 stores and services including Safeway, Cineplex Cinemas, Designer Shoe Warehouse and Indigo Books & Music. It is the only enclosed mall in Strathcona County. It opened in 1972 under the name "Eastgate Mall", and cost $4 million to build.
The first enclosed shopping mall was the Park Royal Shopping Centre in West Vancouver, British Columbia, which opened a year later, in 1950. As of May 2017, there are 3,742 enclosed and strip malls in Canada that are larger than 40,000 square feet (3,700 m 2 ).
