re: yellowstone season 5 2 part priemer @Rosemary12 , I don't know why you would think this is a Roku problem. Yellowstone is available via Paramount which Roku has nothing to do with.
I was told I had to purchase Paramount Plus to watch the new season of Yellowstone. I can watch seasons 1, 2 & 3 with no problem but season 4 does not appear. I searched Roku for Yellowstone and now I find it on Paramount but after watching the 1st episode, the 2nd and 3rd are locked and it's asking me for my cable provider.

Yellowstone season 4 starts sunday and I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to watch it without having to pay for expensive services ? All services I'm finding are around 50 to 60 a month and thats the whole reason for the roku to cut the expense.
Yellowstone isn't available on P+ at all, just Paramount network, which NEEDS a Provider like YouTubeTV. You can purchase the season on amazon, vudu, or apple tv. I have YTTV and I still purchase season 4 of Yellowstone on amazon. Because when seasons 1,2, & 3 came out I didn't, so I wanted the whole series in one place. 🙂
Paramount continues to release new seasons of Yellowstone on Paramount, not on Paramount+. In order to view Paramount on streaming devices like Roku, the Paramount requires you to be paying for it via a login to a paid "tv provider" account (cable, satellite, etc.) that carries the Paramount channel.

Solved: Some channels ask for my TV provider. There is a list to choose from but Roku isn't listed. Example is "Yellowstone" on Paramount. It let me watch the first episode of Season 3 but now wants my TV provider and Roku isn't listed.
This may be more of a streaming problem: I have shows saved under My Stuff. About 2 weeks ago I could no longer view any episodes listed under any of the shows (I have about 30) saved in My Stuff. There just appears a fading line like it is trying to connect to something but never does. I have tried uninstalling the app but hasn't helped.
Season 2 was Apr-Jun 2023 on MGM+. Season 3 starts today (Sep 22, 2024) on MGM+ and runs through November. So, basically, don't expect S2 to be available for free until maybe next spring.
