When trying to connect to any server on Vanilla Minecraft, they just ping and ping forever and never let me connect. When I try to connect, it just says, "connecting to the server"... forever. I can connect to the internet just fine.

Get a free custom Minecraft domain for your server Stop using 123.45.67.89:25565 and start using yourserver.mchost.org As a server administrator, I knew from day one that it would be hard to attract a strong, stable community of players without a custom domain for players to connect to.
I searched around and only found one similar topic (with no resolution) on this, so I apologize if I've somehow missed it. But whenever I set up a server for me to use with a friend, and I log in to said server, I fall forever until it crashes. I can see various falling mobs with me, and the like, but little else.
So here's the gist of it: Servers load instantly (like they used to) if my VPN is on. But when my VPN isn't on, they take forever to load. I would just play with my VPN on 24/7, but quite a few servers won't let you play with a VPN turned on. If anyone knows a solution, please let me know! Thanks!
