Donna Pescow however never made sense as a star. She was perfect for the Sat Night Fever role - but not really movie star material. I loved Angie because it was supposedly set in my hometown and made it feel like Philly actually mattered.

Here's that character from the first movie, who doesn't have much to do with this movie, but we wanted to remind you that it's all the same fictional universe" moment. Like if Frank Junior showed up at the dance studio to give brotherly advice, or Donna Pescow's character bumped into Tony at the nearby news stand, LOL.

  5. Video-Donna Pescow as lesbian Dr. Lynn Carson on All My Children

I watched AMC in college and remember Donna's storyline. Honestly, if memory serves, Lynn being gay was handled quite well (maybe for the time, 1983). Pescow's character knew she was gay, there wasn't any vasilating that she may want one of the male characters. Cliff knew she was gay, he didn't seem to care.

  6. Happy birthday, Donna Pescow - the Data Lounge

I really wanted Robert and Gary Sandy to stand side by side and swordfight in my mouth, but that's another thread. R3, fun fact: the first Parkinson's comedy but when it didn't test well they kept the gags and dropped the references. Poor Sharon Spelman doesn’t even garner a three quarter shot in the opening credits.

  8. Was Donna Pescow a Lesbian? - the Data Lounge

    www.datalounge.com/thread/28514447-was-donna-pescow-a-lesbian-

No, but she played one on TV. She played the first lesbian character on a soap opera in 1983 on All My Children. Donna came out as non-binary while filming "Saturday Night Fever". She dated Mark Harmon around the time of Angie. Pre-Pam Dawber. Yet, Fannie Flagg, who is a lesbian, never came across as one on Match Game.

  9. As a movie-watcher, I could believe that Tony would have been physically attracted to Gorney (physically). She was seen as classy and a cut above women like Pescow. I even believe he could have overlooked her lack of dancing skills. Her acting was just bad. In her big scene, where she's busted for being a sugar baby, the acting was so horrible.

  10. Donna Dixon and Dan Ackroyd on the Fran Drescher show. Strange interview. They talk about meeting each other on Doctor Detroit, which Fran was also in. Dan Akroyd is a sleaze bag. Constantly hits on young women and doesn’t take no for an answer. Or used to anyway.
