NCOPE Tracker is a custom software platform designed by Bamboo Strategic Media to capture clinical experiences of residents and to complete documentation tied to the NCOPE Residency Program. The software is provided to residents and mentors as part of the residency fees.
In partnership with the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), NCOPE serves as the CoA for orthotist/prosthetist, orthotic/prosthetic technician, and orthotic/prosthetic assistant education.
The National Commission on Orthotic and Prosthetic Education (NCOPE) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. In 1972, the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC) created the Educational Accreditation Commission (EAC) to meet the O&P profession’s need for an institutional accreditation program.
NCOPE is a sponsor CoA in the CAAHEP system. Each CoA is comprised of experts who assess applicant programs to ensure they meet the nationally accepted standards that are designed to prepare graduates for entry into the healthcare workforce.
NCOPE should be notified when an institution is considering the development of an education program. NCOPE has resources to provide guidance and assistance to ensure that the steps leading to accreditation are initiated in a timely manner.
