Well, I’ve had enough. My grandmother (her mom that she didn’t talk to for 25 years - the one who’s name she called me growing up) was really mean to my 8 year old son and my mom stuck up for her. That was the last straw. I stopped talking to her. After a month of no contact my dad called me to apologize for her. I said no. She’s a big ...

It was the most explosive sex I've ever, ever had. I think I came 4 or 5 times over that 18 hour period, my mother-in-law probably double that. And the Saturday night we are all having dinner like nothing happened. A few days later we leave for home and everyone all good, just one happy family.

  5. If this were the rule in English, "My mother and I am happy" would be correct since "I am happy" is correct. It is "My mother and I" that needs to be in the subjective case in the sentence "My mother and I went to the market". So this doesn't tell us whether the X should be "I" or "me" to make "My mother and X" subjective. (If we already knew ...

When i was a small child around 4-8 my mother found every excuse possible to dress me as a girl. Every Halloween costume had to involve stockings, skirts, blouses and lots of make up. The only positive things my mom would say to me were about how I had great eyelashes, cheeks and lips and how I looked so much better with mascara and lipstick.

trevtheforthdev. •. The lyrics come from the saga of Egill Skallagrímsson. Iirc he cleaved a kid's skull in half and caused a ton of people to fight and die when he was a kid, and his mother told him all that. I don't get why it's being sung as some "ebic vikingz" song though, it's just a random stanza from a saga.

  10. Is "mother tongue" exactly the same as "native language"?

    english.stackexchange.com/questions/146500

"Mother tongue" and "native language" are set phrases that both refer to the language one has started learning from birth. One generally associates "mother" with "tongue" and "native" with "language" but it is sometimes found the other way round. "Language" and "tongue" are here synonyms. I would say "mother" or "native" is not identical though.

It sounds like maybe your mother also has some issues that she hasn't worked out, tbh. Neurodivergence tends to be genetic, and I know I got my neurosis and chemical imbalances from my mom. In the meantime, maybe don't engage with your mom. Use a 1-to-1 text rule but in speaking.
