Diamond 1 is 811 mmr in rumble. Promotion point for Diamond 1 is 816. Yesterday I played with a friend in rumble, I had 792 mmr, plat 3 div 3. We won the first 2 matches and I got up to 810 (which should've put me in….
Diamond 1 mmr. I made it into diamond 1, won my 6 first games in that bracked and gained 16 per game, lost my first game today and went -23. So my Lp gain is 16+ -23. But 7 of the players were diamond 1 including me. 1 player was diamond 2 and another was diamond 3 and lastly 1 enemy was master tier. How is that balanced mmr?
VALORANT™ is a free to play 5v5, character-based tactical shooter by Riot Games. Hidden MMR makes it hard to climb. I am currently platinum 2, with a 70% at platinum 1. However my games are no platinum at all. They are Diamond 1 - Ascendant 2.
Yeah agreed, Diamond is far too large. Each section of Diamond is an even bigger range than Masters. Instead of 4%, 23%, 23%, 23%, 23%, 4% for Bronze~Masters they totally could have done 4/23/23/23/13/10/4 with that 13% (which is like current Diamond 3/2) being Ruby 3, 2, 1. More promotions does feel better an Diamond would feel more special.
Some clarification for this chart. When it says "you must get past 936 MMR to get Diamond", it specifically means you must get past 936.00 in rating. Your own rating is not just a value that's an even number of 936. It has decimals. Because of this, you can be 935.67 or something and still be Platinum 3.
why is diamond different? d4 0 lp is top 2%, or 1/50- anybody who has made it this far is clearly very invested in the game. moreso than 98% of the ranked playerbase. players in d1 are also highly motivated to get out. getting into masters is a huge jump, so fewer people are content being hardstuck there than any other division 1 rank.
In OW2 I started S1 at Bronze 5, finished S1 Diamond 1, started S2 Gold 4, have made it to Plat 1 so far with a 63% win rate. Now every lobby I’m in is a Masters lobby. Did I finally hit Masters but just won’t know until I play 200 games this season?
It is a numeric value that everyone has that determines your rank. The icons that everyone knows (Platinum, Diamond, Champ, etc) are completely arbitrary, as can be seen by how Psyonix keeps adjusting the MMR thresholds for ranks. Saying "I'm Champ 3" doesn't actually mean much without specifying the season.
Typically in order to not be able to queue in Diamond with "Masters MMR" you had to be significantly deep into Masters like, playing against 200-300LP+ players at diamond 2 or something. But this season, you can be barely diamond 1 mmr with the occasional 0~20LP Masters player in your lobby and it will trigger the notification that your MMR is ...
Silver 5 = Losing 45 MMR | -24 change. Bronze 1 = Losing 33 MMR | -12 change. Essentially, it would be an exponential drop until you reach about 30-40 MMR, which would ultimately slow down and max off at a 10 or 25 MMR loss per game. Ranked 2.0. With this info in mind, the new Ranked 2.0 system coming in Y7S3 introduces the same ranked system ...
