To be on the safe side where the web is concerned, assume everything is a scam. If I received that and was unsure if it was legit, I'd go to Shopify support live chat directly, ask to speak to a person, then explain the email you've received. That said, no one from Shopify is going to be emailing you from a Gmail. This is 99.9% a scam email.

Shopify should be able to look a bit further than most of us can to determine if they are scamming. I can see enough patterns to be 90% sure they are a scam, but Shopify should be able to spot these and look a bit further to see if anyone ever received products. Just the store names are so random as to raise a flag.
I saw another post in the community with a similar email requesting money, but this one has not. There is a "reply yes for further steps" but I have not responded. I believe it is a scam but want to make sure Shopify does not actually require proof of a trademark license.
