Connect a lighting strip to the towbar socket and test that the left indicator works on the strip and the buzzer buzzes in the relay. Using another length of wire and blue clip, extend the green wire so that connection can be made in similar fashion to the indicator wire on the right tail light assembly.

One solution is to take the subframe off and seam weld it. That will make it stronger as serial is just point welded.
Disconnect both drop links from the ARB and tie the ends of the ARB with zip ties so that it is clear of the lower wishbones. Go for a gentle test drive, allowing for having disconnected the ARB. If the troublesome noise persists, then it isn't coming from the ARB. If it stops, then likely it is!. Reply Like.
Norseman50. I have to believe that the sump guard provides an extra bit of rigidity to the front end framework, by tying the cross member to the front sill and forward sway bar. The unibody suspension in the Spider is notoriously flexible, and the sump guard tends to reduce that twist and thereby improve handling.
The car cranks well and cranking sounds normal, but the engine does not kick in to life (it cranks for a bit then stops with a click). There are no fault codes reported whatsoever. Things I have done: - Replaced battery. - Checked battery earth. - Replaced all 4 spark plugs. - Tested all 4 coil packs with multimeter.
I would say the Mito is an excellent motorway tool, and the 1.3 diesel has plenty of poke at 70 - 80 mph. I presume the 1.6 will also. It's quiet and refined, and the Bose is an expensive but worthwhile option IMHO. As for economy, I've average 60 mpg since new, but if driven sensibly can touch 70mpg. Reply Like.

My third brake light has stopped working on my Spider (939). The manual suggests it is just a bulb replacement although on another page it does use the phrase "replace unit". I have tried to just take a look at the light, whether it's a unit or bulb and it certainly looks to me as though it is the whole unit that will need to be replaced.
Just had this 2001 147 TS 2.0 for a few weeks now, I love it to bits (I've posted a rambling intro post about it!) The car was sat for a long time approx 5 months on the previous owner's drive unused, its done 72,000 miles. In the last week I've had done: - new cambelt. - new water pump. - service, oil and filter, coolant flush.
Unfortunately now it is REALLY smoky, the airmass has fallen quite much with 26°C outside temperature, I have 1540-1580mg 4000 rpm with 2.4-2.5 bar. Injection end tdc or almost tdc already, max Egt temperature is 910°C in 5th gear at about 4800rpm (End of the video). Here there is a test in the street I always use for test.
