Even the great CDM is unefficient. Most event buildings are more efficient for the space, for example an alter garden athena for example it is a 2x 3 and it provides 3 forge points. so in the area a cdm takes up you could fit more than one. It's not just about FP efficiency, CdM provides both attack and defense boost for attacking army.

The current militay boosts from great buildings are unbalanced. The attacker can have a maximum of +150% bonus (equal to +300% defensive bonus) that boosts both attack and defense, while the defender can only have a maximum of +200% bonus, which only boosts defense. When I go to the castle on the right of the great building line, I do get to the person's contribution page but my house and the letter to the right of the house are both darkened.

This city is in the neighborhood with one of my Late Middle Age cities. Setting aside the fact that it's a Colonial Age city with buildings left over from Iron age, a strange mixture of road types, and space-wasting decorations all over the place, note how many Great Buildings it has. None. Colonial Age and not a single Great Building.
