I’m new to mods with the Sims 4, and have been using Curseforge as my main place to download mods due to how easy, efficient and safe it is. However, my mods folder is very chaotic and I’d like to organise it more effectively, if in the event that some of my mods break my game and it’d be easy to identify which mods are causing me issues.
I use CurseForge for World of Warcraft, so I was excited for it with Sims 4. But I can't figure out how it works with Sims 4. It doesn't appear on the app and I can't seem to download anything from the browser. So, I just continue to not use mods and cc. I think it's annoying that it's not as straightforward as it is with WoW.
I’ve used it since it started working for sims 4 and have yet to have any issue with it. It doesn’t have many mods in it yet as it’s still fairly new, it also doesn’t allow any 18+ mods, so if you want wicked whims you’ll have to download it manually.
Curseforge has a lot of work to do when it comes to the sims 4 mods, and I think in time it can be great. It's a big transition because for yeeeeeeeears, installing mods on the sims has been all manual and we just got used to it, creators and consumers alike.
My sims 4 mods were automatically stored in OneDrive, where I did not want them, so I moved them on to my local drive. CurseForge has stopped recognizing the folder, and I can't seem to change it manually. How can I get CurseForge to find my Sims 4 Mods folder without having to move the Electronic Arts folder back to OneDrive?
The curseforge website is great(for TS4) the app is not. Sims 4 super users have 10k+ files in their mods folder. They have to manage them manually. Curseforge can't help them with that. The website is fine and safe. The app might be good for other games. For the sims 4 it's not there yet.
A user asks how to delete all mods in CurseForge if they have removed them from their mods folder. Other users reply with various methods, such as selecting multiple mods, using keyboard shortcuts, or right-clicking on the mod.
