Posted November 22, 2011. Hello everyone! I have a problem, utorrent won't go above 1MB/s when i download. My connection allows it to go up to 9MB/s (it ran at a average of 5-6 mb/s before i installed the latest version of utorrent) I have read all the posts related to this and tried everything. Nothing works... it's still stuck at 1mb/s.

Speed is determined by a combination of a couple of things. Ratio's are an indication of how much is your share in the distribution of the torrent. In general a 1:1 ratio is considered fair and 'having done your part'. µtorrent doesn't keep ratio beyond the scope of a single file because it's useless.

Click "OK" to add the torrent to uTorrent's Queue. Single-click the newly added Torrent that you want to only download part of. Select the "Files" tab of the "Detailed Info" panel located at the bottom of the uTorrent window. This will show the names & sizes of all of the files contained in the torrent file's download.
After DreadWingKnight suggested that the window is generated on some other screen I thought to disable generation of screen and to start the download automatically (Options -> Preferences -> UI Settings -> WHen Adding Torrents -> UNCHECK the option "Show option to change the name and location of the torrent data").
2. Posted February 15, 2014. When trying to download a torrent, they arent appearing in anywhere. When trying a second time, get the message "the torrent you are trying to add is already in the list of torrents. Do you want to load more trackers from it" After clicking yes or no, the torrent still isn't displayed.
What you need to do is go into the Windows Defender Antivirus settings. Somewhere in there you should be able to create an exception, possibly on some sort of white list, for uTorrent.exe.
