(Open RGB, Signal RGB, JackNet RGB Sync, etc.) Discussion So I recently built my first personal rig, and I am going the extra mile to fully RGB-fy my setup, but I'm curious to know what the best RGB software is, since I've found that running 4 separate pieces of software for RGB gets cumbersome and disorganized sometimes.
One more thing, if most of your hardware is newer or more obscure, you might want to check the discord for support. The supported devices page is very outdated and, as I understand l, will be replaced with an automagically generated list fairly soon. TBH I'd check out signalrgb, i banished openrgb from my brain when I discovered it.

One of the biggest complaints about RGB is the software ecosystem surrounding it. Every manufacturer has their own app, their own brand, their own style. If you want to mix and match devices, you end up with a ton of conflicting, functionally identical apps competing for your background resources.

My goal would be to set a permanent single color to all my RGB parts (EK-AIO 280 D-RGB, G.Skill TridentZ RGB, Asus ROG STRIX 3080). I want the lights to look the same when booting up, in sleep mode, or while in use. (Avoid having default rainbow effects until software loads up a profile in winodws)
This can be done using Zadig (https://zadig.akeo.ie/). On Linux, you need to install the OpenRazer kernel drivers (openrazer-dkms-drivers on Debian/Ubuntu I believe). The user interface is fairly basic still, no graphical selection for LEDs, but all the basic functionality of RGB control is implemented. For a list of supported devices, see the ...
