Valkyrie is a WIP.mod that is coming to take Optifine's 1.12 throne, but last I checked (3 months ago or so) it was still not as good and missing some features. Could you list the mods you are using that are not Optifine compatible? There's really not many in 1.12.
I know people say there's sodium or phoporus, but those are Farbic mods. I want to see if there's a forge optimization mod that gives me more fps than optifine, or if there are mods that is compatible with optifine that will further optimize minecraft 34 votes, 16 comments. true
Tinkers. Potentially any mod because Optifine is a closed source, highly invasive, non-Forge mod which hacks the entire rendering system that almost all mods use, and Optifine could break anything with any update. If you encounter problems, your chain of debugging should be: Remove Optifine to see if it is related.
Download optifine 1.12.2 HD G5 (I think) Go to your files, go to the folder it downloaded into, press copy on it, go to your RLcraft mod folder (you can find this by tapping on the RLcraft profile in curse forge, tapping the 3 dots and pressing "open folder") go to the mods folder inside the RLcraft folder, place optifine into the mods folder) 2.

Usually this is asked the other way round, you match Optifine to the Minecraft version shouldn't matter what Forge you use as long as its 1.12.2 compatible. I've used several versions of Forge for 1.12.2 up to the recommended and always used Optifine without issue.
But either way, as long as Optifine knows where to send itself, and you have a 1.13.2 already set up in vanilla, it should be fine once you select the profile with 1.13.2 Optifine.
If you're using Direwolf20, Optifine doesn't work with the 1.9.1 version, but it does work with 1.8.1. Ok, so either use the Optifine version specifically for 1.12.2 or Optifine is just terribly incompatible with whatever mods you have.
First we will update Minecraft to 1.12.2, Open your Launcher, go to "Launcher Options" -> Add New -> choose version 1.12.2. Download Optifine HD, and run the installer, click on install and wait, after a few seconds the optifine will be installed.
