I am looking to make a small Minecraft server, for about 5-10 people, and I was wondering, what is the best cheap server hosting service. I found out about Aternos, but it seems too good to be true, cause server hardware is expensive. Is there another cheap or free server site that is reputable? Edit: I went with Shockbyte
The only good free hosting service out there would be Aternos however performance is still horrible. I know cheaper hosts that offer the same or even better performance. SpringRacks Hosting and Geode Hosting offer great performance with their Ryzen 9 5950X CPUs for $2.50/GB. I highly recommend DMing so we can discuss your budget.
If you have a good enough pc I recommend hosting a server, Aternos is good but no custom plugins/mods and it can take up to 15 minutes to start in my experience.
