It is very common for memory care patients to not want to shower. Lots of discussions on why but it doesn't really matter. It just happens to almost all of them. In terms of incontinence that is also really common. Getting her evaluated by a Dr. helps to see if there is anything to be done but she is in need of diapers.
More at link. Personally I am unsure what to think. On one hand it seems absolutely crazy a 14 year old girl would want to shower with her father but if she and the mother are okay with it, well...I think at the least it was crazy for the courts to get involved and the mother arrested.
I hope she moves out soon, then they can hire real caregivers. This lady, so far, has only needed companionship, meals, light housekeeping and med reminders.
