Over 200 remarkable women have been inducted into the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame since 1975. Every year, four or five women are chosen from a pool of hundreds of worthy nominees to be honored at the Induction luncheon and ceremony.
The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame is located at 1720 Gendy Street in the Cultural District of Fort Worth, approximately one mile north of I-30. The Museum is west of the Will Rogers Memorial Center and south of the Museum of Science and History.

For close to 50 years, the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame has championed cowgirls, of all backgrounds. We have a long record of lifting women from the shadows of history, and in many cases, recovering lost voices. It is within this vein that we are curating a new multi-gallery exhibition: Soldaderas to Amazonas: Escaramuzas Charras.
FORT WORTH, TEXAS (November 17, 2020) – The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame will welcome five 2021 Inductees at the 45 th Annual Induction Luncheon and Ceremony. The luncheon will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021 at the Dickies Arena.
The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame honors and celebrates women, past and present, whose lives and relationships with and around horses, nationally and internationally, exemplify the courage, resilience, and independence that also helped shape the West.
