It pertains to skins and the new Minecraft server skin URL pathing. I am trying to fix an older mod (for 1.7.10) that used to grab skins for statues from the old Server URL, but since they changed the URL it no longer works.

This is an old-school modification. It does not use any modloaders as it directly replaces 2 minecraft class files. This mod may break compatibility with other mods. If your skin appears misplaced, you may need to convert your skin to the 64x32 format. Installation guide: For MultiMC:

The skin you set on your Minecraft Profile is not removed by this mod. If a user has a skin, their skin will show. If a user has a skin, their skin will show. If a user does not have a skin or the skin cannot be loaded, the default player textures will show based on the player's age and gender.
The PC edition cannot change the player model without mods, just the skin, and I couldn't tell you which mod gives you custom player models. I've never used it, so I don't know. Only the Bedrock Edition (pocket and consoles) uses those alternate player models, but only ones acquired from their shop in packs.
