BG3 Mod Manager works perfectly well and has never caused any issues for anyone. Meanwhile, comment sections on some mods are filled with Vortex users having problems with the way the software handles those mods. I'm reading those basically every day. Or users wishing for a modder to add a Vortex install option.
As a long-term user of Vortex for multiple different games: BG3MM is better. you want BG3MM for managing your load order, Vortex is unreliable in that area. if you're an experienced modder you can use Vortex to manage your library and use the autoupdate function, and then use BGMM to create and export your load order, that's what I do since ...
Keep them inactive, the dice mod does nothing afaik but the honour mod will add the new legendary actions to all difficulties. Keep them inactive. They're the Larian files. Honour Mode is loaded into the game like a mod because it changes the game (passives are changed, etc) and you want to keep it inactive because the game (if you choose ...
Kahako. •. If you are new to modding and aren't comfortable with your debugging skills, I recommend sticking to BG's mod manager. Not because it's any more or less intuitive (they're about the same imo) but because you'll have more community support (or even mod author support) if you get stuck. Plus, Vortex and BG3 manager aren't big ...
I'm pretty sure I put it on my desktop. Check Preferences for correct Drive letter under Settings -> Preferences (4) Download mod. File -> Import mod (1) Move mod from right side to left side. -> Leave Honour & Dice_06 on the right: they are Larian files. Make sure "parent" mods are listed above a mod from the same group (2)
This can also be done from BG3 Mod Manager in the Go tab, select Open Game Folder, and it will open the bin file directly. 2) Open a separate window in your file explorer to locate the file for the Script Extender in your Downloads. Drag this newly downloaded file over into the game files window that you opened earlier.
I use BG3MM and haven’t had any issues. I'm not sure how you are using Mod Manager but the best way is to "import" mod right after you download them. - Download a mod (zip file).- "File/Import" in Mod Manager (the .zip directly, it ill automatically extract the .pak to the game's folder).-. Hit Refresh.-.
It’s your game but the bg3 mod manager was done by laughing leader. They did the one for dos 2 as well and I’m pretty sure it’s been set up for Linux now. It’s really slick and allows you to install the script extender required for any apps and achievements. Putting them in manually…. Well, it’s your game.
1. Reply. Aryksa. • 10 mo. ago. In Vortex, you have to select the Mod Type in the right panel. If it's a .pak you have nothing to do. If it's some textures/meshes you have to select "BG3 Replacer". If it's a file in a /bin/ folder (like Native Camera Teaks ), you have to select "Engine Injector" and then click on "Deploy" on the notification. 1.
As of the recent Hotfix #22 the game is refusing to launch through the BG3 Mod Manager unless I first launch the game normally, through Steam. It doesn't make any sense, I'll try to explain: Normally, launching the game through the BG3MM presents no problems; it just immediately launches the game with nothing in between, skipping Steam as well ...
