    Jan 26, 2018. #21. UPDATE -- I think I've found the solution. You have to completely, totally, absolutely "Sign out" of all things iTunes Store/account by going to Account > Sign Out. Until then, even though you may not be actually "signed in", it thinks you are kinda signed in, or want to be.

    1. right-clicking (or control clicking) the iTunes application in the Applications folder. 2. clicking on "Show Package Contents". 3. opening the folder "Contents". 4. opening info.plist on TextEdit, TextWrangler, or similar text editor. 5. change all mentions of 10.6.3 to 12.8.2. 6. see if it works.
