Re: What ever happened to Randy Rhoads\' guitars? Play them. That's what Randy did with 'em, and it's what he'd want. Delores has them. AFAIK, only Ozzy and Zakk have been allowed to handle them - once for the Crazy Train (Tribute) video, and once when Zakk and Ozz went to see her.

06-27-2009, 08:21 PM. Both are awesome- you will adapt and love either one. If you like beefy frets go with a RR1, if you have to have 24 frets go with a KV2. It is win/win, you can't go wrong with either one. One difference however is that on an RR1, you rest your pinky finger on the metal plate if you play like that.

1985 Randy Rhoads V. 11-26-2019, 09:17 AM. A very sweet (and overly trusting) lady from my church has decided to part with her deceased boyfriends guitar. According to the Jackson Website Support info, it is a Jackson / Randy Rhoads flying V produced in 1985 (San Dimas). It is obviously used.
There was no standard that defined a “Jackson neck”. Rhoads spec’d the “Concorde”, and the Black V. They had different neck profiles. The only specs that Rhoads provided for the RR1 was the concept for the body shape, the general design, and his name. The Floyd, neck shape, pickups for the RR1 were chosen by Jackson.
01-05-2006, 11:43 AM. Re: Randy Rhoads with a black les paul? To remove a set neck, I believe they remove the fret above the neck joint, then use a tiny drillbit and drill down in the center of the slot. Then steam is applied into the hole with a small metal tube, this loosens the glue. -Jon G.

Rhoads - The beginning of Jackson guitars was Randy's white with black pinstripes, v-tremmed, block inlaid V. Things have changed dramatically over the years, and as a result, there are dozens of different RR models throughout Jackson's 25 years. Rhoads USA - same as RR-1 as far as features go, but the year it was made determines the model.
