TUG started 30 years ago in October 1993 as a group of regular Timeshare owners just like you! Read about our 30th anniversary: Happy 30th Birthday TUG!
Vistana used to have a separate department that could help fix this, but ever since the merger with Marriott Vacations Worldwide they have consolidated all phone numbers to route to Owner Services. If the old department that used to fix this still exists, it was called Program Administration and could be reached directly at 888-460-8502
That did the trick and solved the problem! I can now search MVC resorts using ClubPoints from the Vistana dashboard. Apparently they have been linking MVC accounts for dual owners to make things "easier" lol... but that created errors for some ownership situations.
This is why “us vistana people” weren’t happy with the take over. Since the takeover all of the information I’ve received over the phone was always incorrect and I have been given nothing but bad CS with reps who just don’t seem to care. I for one may be cutting down on my vistana and jump on the airbnb bandwagon more and more.
I received an email from Vistana saying that owners can now access through Marriott Vacations Club website. This was about 3 months ago (maybe more). April 2024, Mediterannean cruise and Italy, no timeshares. May 2024, back to Disney World. June 2024, Sheraton Broadway Resort with kids/ grandkids.
If you contact Vistana (I'd send a message from the dashboard) they can do an audit for you, and send you a summary of the transactions on your account. Don't call - the Phone Reps. are the entry level people and they can't do anything but very basic stuff.
If the Restricted StarOptions you have are tied to a full week that you own (VOI), you should still be able to deposit it in II before the year ends if you don't find anywhere else in VSN to use them this year. Just go through the External Exchange link on your Vistana dashboard and choose the week from which your Restricted StarOptions came.
It now seems that Vistana either isn't able to or doesn't want to update the membership number on the newly acquired VOIs. This results in the inability to make a single reservation using HomeOptions or StarOptions from multiple VOIs. If the VOIs are mandatory, it may also result in multiple VSN fees being charged.
However, the ratio of Bonvoy points to SO must vary by VOI because we have 148,100 the same as shown in the post above but at WKORVN ours give 240,000 points for a ratio of 1:1.62. Our Lagunamar gives an even better ratio of 1:1.77. Also Vistana 4- and 5-Star Elites receive a 10% bonus on conversions to Bonvoy points.
Sheraton Flex, MVC Points, Worldmark. Dec 1, 2023. #1. If someone has already mentioned this, I missed it but when I was poking around my Vistana dashboard, I downloaded the StarOption Chart to see if they ever updated it from 2021 and they did! It now shows 2023 and 2024 which is so much more helpful when you're trying to figure out numbered ...
