Search for a place on Google Maps. On your computer, open Google Maps. Type an address or name of a place. Press Enter or click Search . Give Maps location permission in your browser. On your computer, open Chrome and go to Google Maps. At the bottom right, click My location . If you're asked to share your location, choose Allow. If the blue dot appears and shows your location, then Maps already has location permission in your browser.
Important: When you delete Location History info from Timeline, you can't view it on Timeline in the future. If you have other settings like Web & App Activity turned on and you delete Location History, you may still have location data saved in your Google Account as part of your use of other Google Sites, apps, and services.
