I just bought minecraft for my windows laptop. Nowadays you get both bedrock and Java. Bedrock works fine, but when I try Java it says I haven't bought it and that I can only play the demo.

The facts that the command you posted wasn't recognized and the shift+right click menu says "Open command window here" instead of "Open folder command line" leads me to believe that you may be using a different version of Windows (or something) than I do.

Launcher downloaded from the official Minecraft Homepage. Vanilla Minecraft, no mods installed, not even Optifine. Selected Version: Latest Release 1.20.1. No Crash Report exists. Does the launcher_cef_log help?
I dont know it just updated when I opened it, didn't change anything so I'm not sure, sorry.
